A one-armed soldier, coming back home from the war, becomes the object of a struggle between a violin, the soul-symbol and the Devil. Soldier, whose soul is wounded, falls for the Devil’s temptations and gets into his trap in exchange for a mechanical arm. However, the soul is  immortal.
